Lance Stroll is set to miss the F1 pre-season testing in Bahrain from 23-25 February following a bicycle crash
Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll has suffered minor injuries after a bicycle crash this week. Stroll was training in Spain and he revealed that the unfortunate accident occurred while he was on his bike. As a result of this incident, Stroll will miss the F1 pre-Season test run set to take place in Bahrain from 23-25 February.
Good wishes have poured in for Stroll from across the F1 fraternity after the news of his accident was officially confirmed. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz took to Twitter to convey his wishes, he wrote: “I hope you are okey @lance_stroll and that you have a speedy recovery. See you soon on track mate.” Meanwhile, Aston Martin will now need to finalise who will replace Stroll and partner Fernando Alonso during the team’s pre-season outing. Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich and former McLaren driver Stoffel Vandoorne are the team’s reserve drivers and it remains to be seen who eventually gets the nod of approval.
