Sergio Perez has not finished 3rd in a single race this season – Check Out

Sergio Perez has finished in the top six numbers of times this season but hasn’t been placed third even once

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez seems to have a special disliking for number three or is it just a coincidence? The Mexican has finished in 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th positions so far this season but with three races remaining, he hasn’t finished a single race in third place. Interestingly though, Perez is placed third in the overall drivers’ championship leaderboard behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

Perez finished fourth in the recently concluded US Grand Prix and continued his streak of not winning third in this season. He will be seen in action this weekend on home turf in the Mexican GP. The Mexican driver has already won two races this season – Monaco GP and Singapore GP and would look to seal another win on home turf at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Interestingly, Perez finish P3 in the Mexican GP in 2021. It remains to be seen that if history repeats itself and Perez’s streak gets broken this weekend. However, if the trend continues for the next three remaining races, it could be quite a unique record!
