Sergio Perez aims to turn things around at the British GP after a disappointing weekend in Canada

Sergio Perez registered a DNF in the previous Grand Prix in Montreal. To make matters worse, he suffered a neck injury after his crash at the Canadian GP and he became aware of it only a few days later. However, the Mexican has recovered in time and aims to make it count this weekend at Silverstone.

Speaking on his plans for this weekend’s British GP, Perez said – “I am coming into Silverstone with a lot of desire to put things right. As a team we are on an incredible run and I am here to keep contributing to those results.”

“Montreal was the first time I have felt it hasn鈥檛 hooked up for me in the RB18 and this weekend is all about getting that great feeling back for me and getting back on the podium. I have been working hard with my Team and we know where and what we need to work on, we鈥檙e ready for a good weekend”, he further added.

Sergio Perez has an uphill task ahead he has to overtake team-mate Max Verstappen and occupy the top spot on the drivers’ leaderboard. Checo is 46 points adrift of Verstappen with 13 races to go this season. Red Bull has won the last six races in a row, but the Dutchman has been the winner of five of those while Perez’s sole success came at the Monaco Grand Prix.
