Shaq was on F1 podium at the US GP 2021 last weekend
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq) was present during this past week’s US Grand Prix. Moreover, he was present on the F1 podium to hand out the trophies. The sight of O’Neal handing out the trophies was very unusual because of his massive size.
The NBA legend stands at a massive 7 feet 1 inches and was quite literally standing out while on the podium. The fans were amused by this sight and have started reacting to the same over Twitter. Have a look:
The fans made their feelings heard over Twitter. Most fans were shocked to see how tall Shaq was in comparison to the F1 racers, however, certain group of fans were not to pleased to see Shaq stand in between the podiums after handing out the trophies.
What happened in the US Grand Prix 2021?
The US GP 2021 certainly lived up to it’s high expectations and buzz surrounding it. Lewis Hamilton who started on second position took the lead early in the lap one of the race just before turn one. The Brit racer went on to lead the race for a while before finally loosing out his position because of a pit stop.
The Red Bull team were very strategic with Max Verstappen and they proved to have set the better strategy than their rivals. Verstappen’s two pit stops during the race were done at the right time which eventually resulted in him capturing the lead in the race.
Verstappen ended up winning the race, Hamilton came second and Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez secured the third spot in the race.
