Are you looking for hotels near the Marina Bay circuit to stay during the Singapore GP weekend? Here’s everything you need to know
The F1 night race in Singapore is a major sporting event with about 40,000 international visitors attending the Grand Prix, so good rooms are at a premium and prices are high. You would be really lucky to get a good room at a cheap price if you haven’t booked it at least a few months before. However, if you are yet to book anything, here are some options you can check out.
Most of Singapore’s best hotels are located around the Marina Bay Street Circuit and even gives you a good enough view of the action. If you are staying in the right room at one of these luxury hotels (which are of course expensive), you don’t even have to buy race tickets as you will have a ringside view of the race from the comfort of your hotel room. You need to check with the hotel during reservation to be sure you will have a room or a balcony with a view.
Where can we find mid-range and budget hotels?
There are many decent mid-range hotels in Singapore, but you will have to be ready for the possibility of windowless rooms in centrally located hotels. You can also look a little further from the city center for better value but make sure there are enough transport options.
If you are looking for budget hotels, then they are concentrated in several areas throughout the city, including Chinatown, Little India. However, don’t expect luxury or great service–these are very basic hotels with tiny rooms and cheap prices.
Hostels are a great alternative for staying if the budget is a concern. Singapore has a wide selection of good-quality hostels, many of which are in Chinatown, within walking distance to the circuit and a little further away, Little India also has a good selection of cheaper hostels.
