The prestigious 80th Golden Globe Awards was held on January 10 in Beverly Hills, California – Lewis Hamilton was all eyes on the awards show.
American actor, comedian, producer and singer, Eddie Murphy was handed over the Cecil B. DeMille award at the recently concluded Golden Globe Awards. The Cecil B. DeMille is an honorary award which is given to artists for their ‘outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.’ Murphy is a very popular comedian across the globe and is notably ranked No. 10 on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.
Lewis Hamilton is a huge fan of Murphy’s work. After the American star won the award, Hamilton took to social media to congratulate him. “So, so deserved”, the seven-time World Champion wrote on his Instagram story.
This is not the first time that Eddie Murphy has bagged a Golden Globe Award. In 2007, he won this prestigious award in the category of ‘Best Supporting Actor’. He has received multiple nominations in various categories at the Golden Globes but this is only the second time that he has won this award.
Lewis Hamilton is currently enjoying his off-season break to the fullest
Lewis Hamilton is spending his off-season doing things that he loves, before the regular F1 season starts in March. He seems to be making the most of his free time. In a recent video posted by the Mercedes star on his Instagram handle, Hamilton can be seen enjoying driving a luxurious R34 GTR on the streets of Japan. Hamilton himself shared the clip on his profile with the caption: “I only like to drive on track, but I make exceptions.”
Hamilton’s love for luxury racing cars is no secret. In the video, Hamilton can be seen enjoying a swift drive on the Shuto Expressway of Japan while performing some skillful eye-catching stunts. Hamilton also recently went on skiing with his brother Nicholas. The seven-time World Champion shared a few glimpses of their adventure on Instagram stories. Lewis was very happy to see his brother Nicholas overcome his struggles to take part in the skiing activities.
