The Spanish GP is scheduled to take place on 2nd to 4th June at the Circuit de Barcelona in Catalunya – how is the weather in Spain?
A cloudy and pleasant weather is set to welcome F1 teams and fans to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix. The temperature in Barcelona at this time of year is relatively higher than the rest of Europe and moderate showers are not a rare sight.
However, teams and fans should get relief from the heat this weekend as it is predicted to remain cloudy. There is a moderate chance of rainfall but it is unlikely to be heavy enough to affect the racing sessions. Let us now take a detailed look at the weather forecast for this weekend.
Conditions are expected to be ideal for racing on Friday. Both the practice sessions will take place under pleasant temperatures ranging between 18-23 degrees Celsius.
It will remain cloudy but the chances of rainfall are pretty less. Saturday will also be partly cloudy and similar conditions are expected for the qualifying season, with no major threat of rainfall. However, there is a 50% chance of showers on Sunday – the race day.
Although the rainfall is not likely to be very heavy, fans visiting the circuit should take necessary precautions. As things stand, the race won’t be affected by showers as nothing more than a drizzle is expected.
