Nico Hulkenberg is headed to Budapest with a new platinum-blonde look for the Hungarian GP scheduled to take place from 21-23 July

Nico Hulkenberg has revealed his new look ahead of this weekend’s Hungarian GP. The Haas driver shared an Instagram story, inviting fans to take part in a contest that would give them the opportunity to meet him and attend the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Hulkenberg’s new platinum-blonde look was clearly visible in the story and it already seems to have become popular with fans on social media.

Hulkenberg hasn’t been in the best of form this season and he would be hoping that his new hairstyle brings luck. The German currently occupies the 14th spot in the drivers’ championship leaderboard, having earned 9 points so far this season.

However, it’s his hairstyle which seems to have stolen the limelight for now. Reactions poured in after Hulkenberg’s story went viral – let us take a look at some of them.

Nico Hulkenberg is in the twilight phase of his F1 career

Nico Hulkenberg made a full-time comeback to F1 this season, replacing fellow German Mick Schumacher at Haas. However, this could potentially be Hulkenberg’s final F1 season.

Hülkenberg made his Formula 1 debut with Williams in 2010. In his rookie season, he showcased his talent and potential by scoring points and putting up competitive performances.

In 2020, Hülkenberg made an unexpected comeback to Formula 1 when he was called in as a substitute driver for Racing Point (Aston Martin) after Sergio Perez tested positive for COVID-19. He impressed by stepping in at short notice and performed admirably in the absence of regular racing.

While Hülkenberg’s talent and speed were evident throughout his career, he unfortunately never secured a Formula 1 podium finish, despite coming close on several occasions.

This fact is often noted as one of the unluckiest aspects of his career. Hulkenberg is widely regarded as a talented and skilled driver, known for his consistency, solid race craft, and ability to perform well under pressure. Despite not securing a podium finish in Formula 1, he remains highly respected within the motorsport community.
