“That’s okay as Britain ain’t a fan of him” – Fans react as Max Verstappen criticises British Christmas dinner

Max Verstappen is not really loved in Britain owing to his rivalry with local favourite Lewis Hamilton

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen doesn’t seem to be a big fan of the British Christmas dinner despite being associated with the UK-based team for more than seven years. In a fun session where he spoke about his favourite food, the reigning F1 World Champion suggested that he would rather have his Christmas dinner outside Britain. Verstappen doesn’t have many fans in the UK and his latest comments certainly won’t help him in that aspect.

In an interaction with JOE, Verstappen was asked what he thought about the British Christmas dinner. “British Christmas dinner would have turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, pigs in blankets, which is a small sausage like a chipolata, wrapped in bacon”, informed the interviewer, expecting a response from the Dutch driver. Verstappen replied: “I’m happy I’m not celebrating it in England then.” He had also particularly mentioned that he is not a big fan of Turkey meat.
