Formula One has signed a 15-year strategic partnership with English football club Tottenham Hotspur
F1 and Tottenham have announced a 15-year partnership that will see them invest in sporting infrastructure, facilities and create career opportunities for the youth. The 15-year strategic partnership will include the production of the world’s first in-stadium electric karting track below the football club’s home stadium. Both bodies will also focus on creating apprenticeship and career opportunities for local youth while addressing diversity in the motorsport industry.
Besides providing facilities and creating employment opportunities, the partnership will promote environment-friendly initiatives. F1 aims to fulfil its commitment to be net zero carbon by 2030 while Spurs seek to halve its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and become net zero by 2040. Meanwhile, the electric karting stadium will be officially open later this year and both parties are also set to launch a new driver academy programme in view of identifying the next wave of F1 drivers.
Let us take a look at some of the reactions from fans on social media.
