Max Verstappen and Lando Norris attended Martin Garrix’s concert in Tomorrowland after the former secured another win at the Belgian GP
The end of the Belgian GP marked the beginning of the F1 summer break, allowing the grid to enjoy a three-week break. Although most drivers were ready to relax, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris had other plans. They headed to Belgium’s Tomorrowland music festival, where they met up with their close friend, the renowned DJ Martin Garrix.
Last Sunday, Max Verstappen emerged victorious in the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Belgium. Despite the post-race interviews and obligations, he and Lando Norris had different plans in store.
They decided to hop on a helicopter and head to Tomorrowland, one of the world’s biggest dance festivals held in Boom, Antwerp province. Although the usual drive from Spa-Francorchamps takes over two hours, the two close friends opted for a quicker journey. Verstappen’s photos captured Norris’s excitement and anticipation for the event.
After Martijn Garritsen, known as Martin Garrix, had taken the stage, Norris and Verstappen joined him. The renowned Dutch DJ has achieved worldwide fame with his stage name. They were given the privilege to enjoy the festival from a unique vantage point – behind Garrix’s turntable on the stage. As the night came to a close, Garrix happily posed for a picture with the two drivers to commemorate the special experience.
The 2023 F1 summer break is taking place between the conclusion of the Belgian GP, held on 28-30 July, and the commencement of the Dutch GP on 25-27 August. This period spans an entire month without any official F1 track action. The teams will reconvene for the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort, marking the end of the summer break and the return to racing in late August.
