Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz is an avid golf lover like most other Formula 1 stars
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz played the 18th hole with Tony Finau at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mayakoba. The video has been shared by PGA Tour’s official Twitter handle. Sainz who spotted a classy white tee and dark blue shorts along with a Titleist cap appeared to totally enjoy his time on the golf course along with American professional golfer Tony Finau.
Carlos Sainz is known to be an ardent golf fan. Whenever he is free from his F1 duties, Sainz heads to the nearby golf course to play the sport. Earlier, he had publicly revealed that golf icon Tiger Woods is his all-time sporting idol. “For me, I always look up to people that create a point in the history of their sport that changes that sport forever, and Tiger is the one that, for me, changed his sport the most of any other athlete in the world”, the Spaniard had said.

Carlos Sainz is one of the global sporting stars who will invest in the Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy company called TMRW Sports, which intends to build progressive approaches in sports, media, and entertainment. Sainz has joined other Formula 1 stars like Lewis Hamilton, Alex Albon, Lando Norris and former star Mark Weber as investors in this new venture put together by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. This tech-based venture named is set to host its first project, a golf league called TGL, in 2024. Besides the F1 stars, Steph Curry, Andy Murray, Serena Williams and Alex Morgan are some of the other sporting stars who are also on board as investors.
TMRW Sports, has a stated goal of “harnessing technology to build progressive approaches in sports, media, and entertainment to create new pathways for the next generation to enjoy sports” and was established in August. The company aims to use new technology and media to reach out to the younger audience.
