F1 2022, the much-awaited official F1game is set to be launched for users worldwide on July 1
EA Sports and Codemasters have released the latest gameplay trailer for the upcoming F1 22 title, with a massive set of changes set for this year’s edition. The latest edition of the official F1 franchise video game – F1 2022 comes this July with an exclusive Champions Edition. This new edition is an addition to the usual Standard Edition. The champions edition cover features Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, and Sebastian Vettel.
New handling redefines race day in this year’s edition of the official Formula 1 game, while immersive broadcasting helps bring you further into the action that includes F2, tweaked practice programs, F1 Sprint, new formation lap procedures, and Safety Car periods.
The new edition of the game also comes with several other modifications. It includes the new Miami circuit besides layout changes to the likes of Australia and Abu Dhabi, F1 Sprint events, and the new era of Formula 1 cars with overhauled rules. It will also include PC VR functionality via Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
F1 2022 is available for pre-order
Pre-orders are open for F1 22, set for release on July 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the EA App, Origin, Steam, and Epic Store.
Users who pre-ordered the Champions Edition of the game before May 16, got three days of early access and a time-limited Miami-inspired content pack. Pre-order also brings exciting bonus packs. This edition of the F1 official game sees the return of ‘My Team’ and ‘Career Mode’ with slight modifications.
However, F1 22 will unfortunately not have cross-platform playing options. This isn’t too much of a surprise given that F1 2021 doesn’t have cross-play either, as verified by Codemasters, but it is still a bit of a disappointment that Xbox, PlayStation, and PC owners of the game won’t be able to compete with one another. Cross-play is a popular feature for modern competitive games, so we can only hope that EA and Codemasters can incorporate it into future F1 games.
