Watch : Lewis Hamilton comes up with an amazing idea to beat the European heatwave

Published by

United Kingdom has been plagued by a terrible heat wave over the last few days, but Lewis Hamilton seems to have found an interesting solution

Lewis Hamilton has taken to Instagram to share a workout, which may be “the best way to beat the heatwave currently plaguing Europe” claiming-110°C never felt so good. The Mercedes driver may be F1 royalty and supremely fit, but when there’s a heatwave in the UK, he suffers too.

Hamilton has access to realms of fitness equipment, which most can only dream of and the champion driver seems to make the best use of it! Taking to Instagram with a video featuring Nelly’s ‘Hot In Herre’ as its soundtrack, Hamilton this morning could be seen shadow boxing in what looks to be a cryo chamber, with a bandana over his forehead and a mask over his mouth.

Can Lewis Hamilton break his longest winless streak in France this weekend?

Lewis Hamilton’s present streak of 12 races without a win is the longest winless streak of his career. He equaled his longest winless streak in Formula One of 10 races without a win, after he finished third in the Canadian Grand Prix. However, after the Austrian GP, the streak has increased to 12 races.

His previous longest winless streak of 10 races without a win came on three other occasions – once in 2009 and twice in 2013. For a driver who has won 34.7% of his race starts, even four without a victory lowers his overall win ratio – which in itself is staggering.

Hamilton currently finds himself in sixth place with 109 points on the F1 drivers’ championship leaderboard ahead of the French Grand Prix next weekend. He has been in good form off late with three consecutive podium finishes. One can certainly not rule out a P1 finish for the seven-time World Champion in France.
