Mercedes had an incredible weekend in Brazil and the team is ecstatic about how things turned out at the Interlagos Circuit last weekend. George Russell won his maiden Grand Prix in style and earned the team’s first victory this season. Lewis Hamilton finished second which meant Mercedes got their first one-two finish of the season.
Mercedes performance coach, Aleix is particularly delighted about Russell’s maiden F1 victory. In a video shared by the team’s official handle on Twitter, Aleix said: “Well, this was a long journey for sure. I’m so happy for George. He definitely deserves it. I just couldn’t be happier for him. All the hard work pays off for sure.” Aleix has been working closely with Russell, since the British driver joined Mercedes earlier this year.
