In the 2016 Singapore GP, Nico Rosberg celebrated his 200th Grand Prix start with his 22nd career victory. With that win, Rosberg became the third driver take victory on his 200th start, after Michael Schumacher (2004) and Jenson Button (2011). Today, we look back at that incredible win six years ago – a memorable day for Mercedes and Rosberg.

The win was Rosberg’s eighth victory of the season and the German beat Daniel Ricciardo by 0.488s – the second time that the Singapore Grand Prix has been won by less than one second. That incredible victory had also taken Rosberg to the top of the drivers’ championship, eight points ahead of Hamilton with six races left. He eventually won the title that season with 385 points, just five ahead of his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
