Watch: Will Buxton confirms that he saw Lando Norris punch a wall during testing in Bahrain

The first pre-season test of F1 2023 took place in Bahrain from 23-25 February and F1 presenter Will Buxton claims to have seen Lando Norris punch a wall

Formula One presenter Will Buxton has revealed that he had seen McLaren driver Lando Norris punch a wall after a disappointing pre-season outing. Norris had a miserable final day of testing that saw him spinning out of the track and eventually finishing 11th. Norris’ team-mate Oscar Piastri also had a bad outing, finishing 16th as McLaren completed the fewest amount of laps out of the teams, with just 312, compared to AlphaTauri, who topped the list at 456.

After the session was over for the day, Buxton stated: “I actually saw him (Lando) leave the garage and walk to the little driver’s room on the side and, very unlike Lando, he actually punched the flimsy, makeshift wall as he walked through.” He further added: “That little bit of frustration. You can tell it’s not quite right.’ Norris is understandably disappointed following a poor outing and McLaren has a lot of work to do before the lights go out for the season opener on March 5 at the Bahrain International Circuit.
