Steve Jones is a Welsh television presenter, who leads the presenting team on Channel 4 F1
Steve Jones is a television presenter, who has been covering F1 since 2006. Besides F1, Jones has covered several popular shows like ‘The X Factor USA’ and ‘Let’s Dance for Comic/Sports relief. In March 2016, Jones was announced as the lead anchor of the Formula One coverage on Channel 4. He presents live races and highlight shows. Jones presents the On the Marbles F1 Podcast with co-hosts Mark Webber and David Coulthard.
Fans however don’t really like Jones’ presenting style. He is often criticised on social media which gives us a feel that fans hate him.
“When watching this its painful. You come across like a bullySteve, with david the joiner in,so he doesn’t get bulled,Your like school kids. Wonder if you were a bully in school steve? I wont be watching c4 thats for sure. Its pure toxic”, wrote a fan on twitter.
Mercedes fans are generally the ones who are not so kind to Jones. He comes across as a critic of Mercedes and the fans don’t like it.
“Absolutely shocking interview with Christian Horner yesterday. Are you still laughing at Mercedes after the result today?”, tweeted one such fan.
“Try not to continue to make a tit of yourself tomorrow. 2 clear attempts to rake up the Mercedes/Red Bull bad feeling. Max, like the juvenile he is, took the bait, Christian wouldn’t even though you pushed it. Either you’re interested in the racing or the gossip. Grow up”, tweeted a fan who feels Jones is more interested in gossip than the racing itself.
Who is presently the most popular F1 presenter?
The most talked-about F1 presenter currently seems to be Sky F1 channel’s new addition, Naomi Schiff. Naomi Schiff has grabbed the attention of fans across the F1 community in her new role as the F1 presenter for Sky Sports. Schiff is a professional racing driver herself but has now joined the Sky Sports F1 team as an analyst for a brand new show – Any Driven Monday.
The new show is a 60-minute life streamed on Sky Sports F1’s YouTube channel bringing the best action across F1, F2, F3, and IndyCar series. Schiff is a part of the presentation team at races and is often present at racing venues.
