Zak Brown has completed the challenge of getting a Monza tattoo
The CEO and team principal of McLaren racing, Zak Brown has recently got a tattoo of the Monza track on his arm. After getting the tattoo Brown took to Twitter to share a reaction for the same. Brown said:
“Not that Monza was going to be forgotten in a hurry…#McLaren#F1”
The F1 Italian GP 2021 at Monza proved to be a truly historic race for the McLaren team and Brown made it known that he wasn’t gong to forget their triumph easily regardless of the tattoo. But this tattoo will certainly carry on the joy for the rest of his life.
The tattoo, however, was not all his wish, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff was the one who nominated him to get the tattoo along with the Grand Prix trust. The challenge was issued only because the fact that Brown is infamously scared of needles. Brown’s tattoo was made at a local tattoo shop in Austin, Texas, US ahead of the US Grand Prix 2021.
What happened in the 2021 Italian GP at Monza?
The Italian GP proved to be a truly historic race for the McLaren team. Daniel Ricciardo secured first ever win for McLaren in nine years. This marked Ricciardo’s first race win since leaving Red Bull as well. On top of that, Lando Norris also secured a second spot as well. Giving a McLaren one-two finish in the race,
All of this was partly facilitated by the crash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. However, nothing can be taken away from Ricciardo who did his best and also secured driver of the day with an outstanding performance.
