Here is everything you should know about – When did Red Bull F1 principal Christian Horner meet his future wife Geri Halliwell?
Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell are one of the power couples of the F1 fraternity. They started dating each other way back in 2014 and eventually tied the knot the next year. Horner and Geri share custody of the children from their previous marriages.
Horner split from Beverly Allen, his wife from his first marriage in 2013 while Halliwell split from her betting tycoon boyfriend Anton Kaszubowski the same year before announcing engagement with each other. However, their engagement has always been a subject of controversy because Horner deserted her first wife while she was pregnant with their first child. Horner’s parents even boycotted his wedding with Geri as they were angry at Horner for ditching his pregnant partner.
Geri and Horner’s first child was born in 2017. Horner is also a stepfather to Halliwell’s daughter, Bluebell Madonna, from her previous relationship with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi.
How did Christian Horner first meet Geri Halliwell?
Horner and Geri first met in 2009 due to the latter’s friendship with F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, but it was never suggested there was any romantic feelings at this stage as Christian was with long-term partner Beverley Allen. Christian and Beverley were together for 14 years but reportedly split shortly after she gave birth to their daughter, Olivia. Just six months after Olivia was born in October 2014, Christian publicly announced his relationship with Geri.
Geri herself had been in multiple relationships which didn’t work out, before meeting Horner. She was engaged two times but never got married. She was previously linked with US basketball star Steve Nash, Scream star Jerry O’Connell, Blue members Lee Ryan and Duncan James, comedian David Walliams, radio star Chris Evans and had a romance with Robbie Williams.
