Ferrari are the most successful team in the history of the Belgian Grand Prix, with an impressive 18 wins in total. When it comes to drivers, Michael Schumacher stands as the most accomplished driver in the history of the Belgian Grand Prix, holding a remarkable record of six victories. Notably, the official race lap record for this Grand Prix was set by Valtteri Bottas during the 2018 edition, with a lap timing of 1:46.286.

How does the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championship look ahead of the Belgium GP?

Red Bull continues to dominate the drivers’ championship standings following another top-of-the-podium finish for Max Verstappen in Hungary.

They have made a fantastic start to the season and earlier recorded 1-2 finishes in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami and Azerbaijan besides top-of-the-podium finishes in seven consecutive races.

Verstappen leads the standings with 281 points followed by his team-mate Sergio Perez, who occupies the second spot with 171 points. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso lies in the third spot with 139 points – ahead of Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Carlos Sainz.

In the constructors’ championship, the picture is no different. Defending champions Red Bull are miles ahead of the pack having accumulated 452 points, as we head into the summer break.

Mercedes are significantly behind in second place, having earned 223 points. Aston Martin is placed third in the leaderboard with 184 points in their kitty – a whopping 268 points behind the leaders. Ferrari are close to fourth spot with 167 points on board.
