As we gear up for this weekend’s Austrian GP, let us take a look at the Constructor with most wins at this Grand Prix

The 2023 F1 season has reached a key juncture and we are now all set for a resumption in action following a 14-day gap. F1 teams will head out to Spielberg for the Austrian Grand Prix, scheduled to take place from 30th June to 2nd July. The Austrian GP will take place at the picturesque Red Bull Ring circuit. Let us take a look at the most successful Constructors’ in the illustrious history of the Austrian GP.

Ferrari

Ferrari holds the record for most number of wins (7) among constructors. McLaren (6) are a close second while Mercedes occupy the third spot with 5 race wins. If we take a look at the other teams in the current grid, Williams and Red Bull have 3 wins each. When it comes to the drivers’, the record of most wins at the Austrian GP is jointly held by three drivers – Jo Siffert, Alain Prost and Max Verstappen, all having won three titles each. Carlos Sainz holds the record of fastest lap timing – 1:05.619, while driving for McLaren in 2020.

Red Bull continues to dominate the drivers’ championship standings following another top-of-the-podium finish for Max Verstappen in Canada. They have made a fantastic start to the season and earlier recorded 1-2 finishes in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami and Azerbaijan besides top-of-the-podium finishes in Australia, Monaco and Montreal. Verstappen leads the standings with 195 points followed by his team-mate Sergio Perez, who occupies the second spot with 126 points. In the constructors’ championship, the picture is no different. Defending champions Red Bull are miles ahead of the pack having accumulated 321 points. Mercedes are significantly behind in second place, having earned 167 points from seven races so far. Aston Martin are placed third in the leaderboard with 154 points in their kitty – a whopping 167 points behind the leaders.
