The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most-awaited races in the Formula 1 calendar each year. It takes place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit and was the inaugural night race and first street circuit in Asia for F1 races.

The 2023 Singapore GP is scheduled to take place from 15th September to 17th September as we gear up for the Asian leg of the F1 season. Let us take a look at the most successful constructors’ in the illustrious history of this Grand Prix.

Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes share the title of being the most successful Constructors’ teams at the Singapore G till date, each with four victories to their name.

When it comes to individual drivers, Sebastian Vettel takes the top spot as the most accomplished in the history of the Singapore Grand Prix, boasting an impressive record of five wins. Notably, Kevin Magnussen set the official race lap record during the 2018 Singapore Grand Prix, with a remarkable lap time of 1:41.905 while driving a Haas VF-18.

How does the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championship look ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix?

Red Bull has maintained a dominant position in the drivers’ championship throughout the season, starting exceptionally well in the first half.

They achieved remarkable 1-2 finishes in races held in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami, Azerbaijan, and Belgium. What’s more, they secured first-place victories in an impressive streak of ten consecutive races, with their most recent triumph being another 1-2 finish in Italy.

Max Verstappen leads the standings with a substantial total of 364 points, followed closely by his teammate Sergio Perez in second place with 219 points. In a surprising turn of events, Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin currently holds the third position with 170 points, placing him ahead of well-known drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, and Charles Leclerc.

The situation in the constructors’ championship closely mirrors that of the drivers’ championship. Red Bull, the reigning champions, have established a dominant position with an impressive total of 583 points as we approach the end of the season. Mercedes trails far behind in second place, having accumulated 273 points. Ferrari secures the third position in the standings with 228 points, and Aston Martin closely follows in fourth place with a total of 217 points.
