Mercedes boss Toto Wolff is trying everything to hold on to Lewis Hamilton post 2023 – here’s everything you need to know
Toto Wolff, the Team Principal of Mercedes, has emphasized his efforts to retain Lewis Hamilton as part of the team after 2023. Hamilton, who holds seven world championship titles, is currently in the last year of his existing contract with Mercedes, which was inked in 2021.
Ongoing discussions have taken place over a new contract for several months. Having collaborated closely for nearly ten years, Wolff shared that Hamilton’s role has evolved beyond being solely a driver, despite encountering a few challenges during their journey together.
Wolff said in a recent interview: “I think there is no need to persuade him. He knows about all the goodness and although we struggled with the car this year, and last year, he will be part of the resurrection of the team.”
