The Canadian sensation squared off against another in-form player Holger Rune in the Basel Open final. Rune was blown away in the first set but he managed to make a strong comeback in the second set. However, Auger-Aliassime held his nerves to take the second set and scripted a memorable 6-3, 7-5 win. With this victory, the No. 3 extended his winning streak to 13. He lost just one set in the competition in the first round against Marc-Andrea Huesler.

The talented youngster has held serve on 86 occasions in a row. He will move up to No. 8 in the ranking after the successful campaign which included a win in the semis against the world No. 1 – Carlos Alcaraz.

Auger-Aliassime joins Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, and Casper Ruud as the only active ATP players to win three consecutive titles in three weeks. He also takes home $408,054 USD for winning today.
