Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were involved in a crash in the 26th lap of Italian GP at Monza

Monza, as usual, was no short of drama, with championship contenders Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen getting involved in a crash – lap 26 of the Italian GP.

Verstappen had pitted earlier, and Mercedes’ Hamilton pitted a bit late. Just as Hamilton exited the pit lane, he was involved in a coming together with Hamilton at Turn 2.

The Dutchman’s Red Bull was over the Mercedes, and had there been no Halo, Hamilton’s life would have been in grave danger.

There were no words exchanged between the two drivers, as Verstappen stormed off to the pits following his crash.

Hamilton, made his way out of the car, after a while, well after his rival left.

It is worth noting that, Hamilton would have made it to P1, if he hadn’t crashed.
