Max Verstappen will be starting from the front row at the 2021 Turkish GP
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was happy to earn a front-row position at the 2021 Turkish GP. The Belgian-Dutch driver finished third in the qualifying with a timing of 1:23.196.
His rival Lewis Hamilton, finished first, but will be starting at P11 as he will be serving a grid penalty.
Hamilton’s teammate Valtteri Bottas who finished second will be starting at P1, after clocking milliseconds faster than Verstappen.
‘Super Max’ will be determined to get the win and go ahead in the driver’s standings.
However, Hamilton has revealed that his eyes were on winning the race, irrespective of the position he starts at.
Following the qualifiers, Verstappen took to Twitter to express his content. He wrote:
“Overall, I鈥檓 pretty happy, starting the race from front row. We made good progress and our qualifying lap was pretty good #KeepPushing#TurkishGP.”
It is worth noting that, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari who finished fourth will be starting from P3.
Red Bull Racing sport white livery at the Turkish GP
Red Bull Racing were seen sporting a fresh white livery at the Turkish GP. The cars and the kits were hued in white and red – a tribute to the ongoing engine partner Honda.
It was Suzuka (Japanese GP) which was scheduled to take place this time around.
The design is largely based on the Japanese flag, which is hued in white with a red circle in the center.
