Due to the coronavirus pandemic, an esports version of the same was held in 2020.
Valtteri Bottas had announced back in September that he would be taking part in the 2022 Race of Champions, which also marks his debut at the event.
An excited Mika Hakkinen took to Twitter to share the news of the same:
“I’m excited to race together with @ValtteriBottas representing #TeamFinland #ROCSweden #flatout #inzdr.”
Hakkinen was immense representing Finland during the late 1990s in F1. He won back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999 with McLaren.
