Sergio Perez did not make it to Q3 of the 2021 Qatar GP Qualifying
It wasn’t a night Sergio Perez and Red Bull Racing Team were expecting. The Mexican failed to even make it to the third round of qualifying at the 2021 Qatar GP.
The F1 is currently in the last phase of the 2021 season. Only the middle-east is left (3 races).
Perez finished 11th in Q2, only to be eliminated by a whisker. Red Bull fans were left heartbroken after what they had just witnessed.
‘Checo’ finished with a timing of 1:22.346, coming 0.105 seconds behind 10th placed Carlos Sainz.
Perez’s elimination comes at a very crucial time for Red Bull and teammate Max Verstappen. Verstappen is just 14 points ahead of second-placed Lewis Hamilton in one of the tightest championship finishes in recent times.
