Formula One: Drive to Survive was one of the surprise features related to the season last year
The 2019 German Grand Prix went down as the greatest race of the last decade and will be part of the second season of Formula One: Drive to Survive.
Formula One released a statement confirming that the date of release for the much-anticipated show is 28 February.
Netflix is the home of this show which takes the cameras behind the scenes. Last year, some of the big guns refused to allow the crew to enter the paddock but that isn’t the case this time around.
The 2019 F1 season saw Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes clinch titles, and there is one race that will be on everyone’s mind.
The German Grand Prix was filled with incredible drama, which saw Max Verstappen pull off an incredible win in crazy conditions.
Sebastian Vettel, who started dead last, finished a remarkable second while there were some other top performers too.
Daniil Kvyat finished on the podium with his Toro Rosso while Lance Stroll also finished well in fourth place for Racing Point.
Carlos Sainz was one the racers who spun out but survived to finish fifth while Alexander Albon finished in sixth place.
Big guns fail
Charles Leclerc looked good for a win but he was one of the stars caught out in tricky conditions and a wet track.
Lewis Hamilton, who started the German Grand Prix in pole position had to undergo several pit stops, including one which took over 50 seconds.
The world champion damaged a front wing in the madness too and finished in the points in ninth place.
That happened because both Alfa Romeo racers were penalised 30 seconds for using driver aids.
There was also some good news for Williams as Robert Kubica scored their only point of the season after being promoted to 10th.
Pierre Gasly was another who couldn’t complete the race while Valtteri Bottas spun out after starting in third place.
The race itself had a difficult start due to the wet track, and the only other Grand Prix that came close to this much drama was in Brazil.
Hamilton got a penalty in that race which promoted Sainz to third while Verstappen won that race too.
Vettel and Leclerc had a huge collision in that race while Gasly secured a second place in another fantastic race.
