Mercedes boss has revealed the biggest difference between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen gave the fans one of the best F1 seasons in recent years. With Verstappen clinching the F1 driver’s championship at the very end in a dramatic fashion, fans have started to draw parallels between the two. However, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes the two drivers are totally different.
In a recent interview with Auto Motor and Sports, Wolff was asked whether Hamilton and Verstappen had any similarities. The Mercedes boss had a rather straightforward response. He further praised both racers and said:
“No, these are completely different types. Max is lightning fast but doesn’t have the experience yet. Lewis is racing at the zenith of his ability the two drove in their own class. In some cases, they had a 40 to a 45-second advantage over the third-placed team.”
Wolff certainly feels like the experience that Hamilton has is what sets him apart from Verstappen and rightfully so.
Has Lewis Hamilton made a decision on his future yet?
It has been more than a month since the controversial ending to the Abu Dhabi GP and Hamilton is yet to make a public statement. There has been a lot of speculation around his future in Formula One and the Brit racer has failed to come in clean as of yet.
The fans will certainly hope to see Hamilton return to the grid for the 2022 season and challenge for an eighth world title. However, nothing seems to be certain as of now and it remains to be seen whether he will return to F1 or not.
