Lewis Hamilton wants F1 feats to inspire the youth

In 2014, The newly crowned Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton had advised the children who want to follow in his footsteps.

Lewis had mentioned: “There are loads of places you can go and just have fun on go-kart tracks, and naturally that’s how it has to be.

“Just go and have fun and see if it suits you and you enjoy it. If you do, you got to make sure you stick at school and work hard there.

“But don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do something because you can do anything if you put your mind to it.” [via bbc.co.uk]

In a recent tweet from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, it’s seen that Lewis Hamilton has more advice for the youngsters.

Hamilton gave me crucial racing advice – and I want to make him regret it, jokes Russell

George Russell has revealed Lewis Hamilton once gave him some invaluable driving advice – but now that he is racing against the world champion in F1, he’s hoping he will one day be able to use that very knowledge to beat the Mercedes star on track.

Heading for his second season with Williams alongside former F2 rival Nicholas Latifi, Russell was asked on a Sky Sports F1 live stream whether any F1 drivers had given him pivotal advice. [via formula1.com]

He hesitated for a moment, then replied: “I actually had a little advice from Lewis [Hamilton] about two years ago when I was racing in F2.”

“It made me think how to get a bit more out of it [the car]. I hope I can make him regret giving me that advice one day,” he said [via formula1.com]

Hamilton’s wisdom must have proved extremely valuable to Russell as the racer didn’t want to give away any details about what the six-time champ told him.
