Why Fulham should push hard to sign Ademola Lookman on loan
According to Sky Sports, Ademola Lookman could be heading back to the Premier League as Fulham are in discussions with RB Leipzig. A loan deal is being talked about as Fulham look to bolster their squad for the 2020/21 season.
Profile
Ademola Lookman is a 22-year-old English forward who plays for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. He started his youth career at Waterloo FC in 2008 before moving to Charlton Athletic in 2014.

However after just a year, he was loaned to RB Leipzig. He was brought back after the six month loan deal and went on to feature for Everton the following season. In total, he has 48 appearances for Everton. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Leipzig finally signed him on a permanent basis last summer. Across his two stints with the club, he has featured 24 times, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Lookman has 31 youth caps to his name for the England side. He is yet to debut for the senior team.
Would Fulham benefit from this?
After gaining promotion twice in three years, Fulham would want to avoid the drop again. They have done some good business this season and Ademola Lookman can be another bit of that if a deal goes through.
Capable of playing anywhere across the front line, Lookman would add depth and versatility to the squad. His numbers may not be glittering but he definitely has the potential to be a good winger and has experience in the Premier League as well.

Verdict
At just 22 years of age, Fulham would get a prospective player who can blossom into a fine forward under the right guidance. He has been relatively injury-free throughout his career and it was only certain blips in form that resulted in less game time over the last couple of seasons.
Leipzig have a good number of established wide players like Emil Forsberg, Marcel Sabitzer, etc and that has also contributed to Lookman being overlooked.
Fulham would surely benefit from a player like Lookman. He is young, versatile and has good potential. Add to that he has Premier League experience. That is something Fulham will surely need if they are to avoid relegation this season.
