Temple started playing basketball in his high school days at LSU Laboratory School in Louisiana. At the end of his senior year at school, Temple averaged 13.9 points with 7.4 rebounds per game. He did play in track and field games too. Though Temple received various offers from different colleges, he decided to join Louisiana State University and rejected all the other offers. Out of the 36 games that happened during the freshman season, Temple played in 35 of those and averaged 5.1 points with 2.6 rebounds per game.
Temple got a chance to play in the Reach USA Tour of China and defeated two Chinese league teams. At the end of his junior season, Temple averaged 6.4 games with 4.2 rebounds per game. He set a record for spending the highest time(4,432 minutes) in the field in total by beating Howard Carter. At the end of his college, Temple entered the 2009 draft and unfortunately went undrafted.
After becoming a free agent, Temple joined the Rockets for the 2009 Summer League. But he did not sustain for a long time with the Rockets. During the 2010 season, again he was picked by the Rockets for a 10-day contract. From then he shifted to almost 15 teams within the 2021 season. All those contracts were for a short period of time, Temple did not get to a fixed place in any teams. The longest he sustained in a team was a year. As of now, Temple is playing for the New Orleans Pelicans and everything is going well for him with the Pelicans.
