Music legend Beyonce included Coco Gauff into a special list celebrating Black History Month in 2020

Beyonce is one of the greatest musicians ever to have graced the industry and she paid tribute to rising tennis sensation Coco Gauff on her website.

Gauff, who has been on Fed Cup duty, has shocked the world with some of her performances in the previous two years.

The 15-year-old defeated Naomi Osaka, the defending champion, in this year’s Australian Open, and also helped the USA win their Fed Cup clash against Latvia recently.

15-year old Coco Gauff jumped 16 spots up the table and is now ranked 51 in the WTA rankings.

Gauff also has a few records to her name and was the youngest single-title holder since 2004 on the WTA circuit after picking up the 2019 Linz Open.

The American is considered a great prospect for the future too and has now garnered the attention of Beyonce.

The music legend updated her website for Black History Month 2020 and Gauff’s name was included with those of several other top stars.

Gauff also shared her reaction to the news and posted her surprise at being included on the list via Instagram.

Big names feature on Beyonce’s Black History Month list

The list celebrates some of the greatest African Americans and blacks who have done some great things over the years and contributed to the world.

Beyonce’s list features several celebrities who aren’t American but they all have contributed to society in one form or another.

Gauff joins stars such as Missy Elliot, Regina King, Tyler Perry, Jordan Peele and many more.

The 15-year-old has been a breath of fresh air on the WTA circuit too and is one of the most open players when it comes to interviews.

She has done a lot of great things already, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the teenager.
