The veteran duo of Granollers/Zeballos will take in top seeds Rojer/Arevalo in the Semi-finals of the Geneva Open
Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo are one of the most experienced pairs in the professional circuit. They are seeded No.1 in the tournament and received a Bye in the first round. In the second round, the duo beat the pair of Melo/Peers in straight sets before sealing another comprehensive victory against Lammons/Cacic.
Despite being one of the strongest doubles pairs on the ATP tour, Rojer and Arevalo have had a disappointing 2023 so far. They suffered early exits in some of their recent tournaments including the Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open. Their best performance of the season came at the Delray Beach Open in February, when they were crowned champions. Now that they have reached the semis in Geneva, they will look to replicate that incredible run and go into the French Open high on confidence.
Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers are experienced doubles pair and have been in decent touch this season. They began their Geneva Open campaign with a bang, defeating the duo of Behar/Demoliner in straight sets. The Argentine-Spanish duo then got the better of Pella/Dellien in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 to progress to the semis. Zeballos and Granollers have both experience and form on their side which makes them a really formidable pair. However, they will have to be at the top their game in order to have any chance of going all the way and winning the title.

Rojer/Arevalo and Granollers/Zeballos have never played each other before on the ATP tour. This is the first professional head to head clash between the two pairs. On paper, Rojer/Arevalo are the favourites both in terms of form and rankings. However, one can certainly not rule out the experienced duo of Granollers/Zeballos and they are expected to put up a tough fight. We are predicting an intense encounter with Granollers/Zeballos winning in three sets.
