Genshin Impact 2.0 release date – Everything that is coming up in the new update

The Genshin Impact 2.0 release date is on July 21 with a huge update bringing a new region to explore and 3 new playable characters

Since Mihoyo announced that they are going to update Genshin Impact every six weeks, fans are eager for every new little thing that comes.

The last update, 1.6 brought us the new Midsummer Island Adventure. When they announced the next update will be called Genshin Impact 2.0, most gamers were even more excited. The reason being when they skip a few version numbers, something big is coming. Well, you are not wrong. Let’s dive into Genshin Impact 2.0 or as they are calling it – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Features:

We get an all new area to explore called Inazuma or the Electro Region with new characters and artifacts. You will face two new bosses in the Inazuma region –

• Ruin Sentinel, a mechanical boss
• Mirror Maiden, a fatui enemy
• Pyro Hypostasis, a cube boss

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Artifacts:

Two new artifacts which might have some connection with the new bosses:

• Emblem of Severed Fate (5 stars)

• two-piece set: energy recharge of 20%
• four-piece set: increases elemental burst damage by 30% of energy recharge which will max out at 75%

• Shimenawa’s Reminiscence (5 stars)

• two-piece set: attack boost of 18%
• four-piece set: When casting an Elemental Skill if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charged/ Plunging Attack damage is increased by 50% for 10s.

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Characters:

We get three new playable characters 

• Ayaka: Sword, Cryo element
• Yoimiya: Bow, Pyro element
• Sayu: Claymore, Anemo element

Ayaka will be the only new character in her banner while Sayu and Yoimiya will be together in one banner. The Inazuma area also has new NPC characters like Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Gorou, Thoma, Kokomi, Kujou Sara. We can expect them to come as playable characters sometime in the future. So if you like one start saving now.

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Weapons:

We get five new four star weapons. 

• Mistsplitter’s Reflection, a sword
• Katsuragi’s Slasher, a claymore
• Kitain Cross Spear,a polearm
• Amenoma Kageuta Blade, a sword
• Hakushin Ring, a catalyst

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Events:

There will be two new events and three returning ones. The new four act Thunder Sojurn event will be the biggest one. Phantom Flow is also a new event where players can obtain rewards. We get to see a return of the Ley Line Overflow, Theater Mechanicus: Stage of Wonders and The Lost Riches events.

Genshin Impact 2.0 New Systems:

• Mystic Offering

Players can exchange three 5 star artifacts for an Artifact Strongbox, which can be used to obtain a random 5 star artifact. 

• Gardening Gameplay

Using a Seed dispensary, players can plant seeds and harvest plants in the Serentea Pot realm

The release date for this massive update is July 21. Mihoyo also released a video on their youtube channel revealing bits and pieces about the story of the new Inazuma area, the characters and their stories.
