With a new update right around the corner, we finally got to see the live stream for Genshin Impact 2.2 update. Here is everything that the developers have revealed in the live stream along with some free primogems codes.
Genshin Impact is getting a fresh update once more! The live webcast of Genshin Impact 2.2 showed a lot about what players may expect in the upcoming version. A new island is coming to Inazuma, while some old fan favourites are going to get rerun banners. There will be a slew of new opponents to face, as well as a bunch of new events. Players will see a new Tsurumi Island after downloading the 2.2 patch. The island is cloaked in thick fog, and players may face “unique challenges when exploring this location,” according to the corporation. In the fog, a large number of Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps creatures can be seen. If your character is attacked, the “Corrosion” status will be applied to all party members, and they will continue to lose HP regardless of whether they are shielded or not.
The subject of Genshin’s new update appears to be based around its title: “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog,” which revolves around a mysterious new labyrinth. This labyrinth appears to be a big part of an event called “Labyrinth Warriors.” The event is providing a lot of prizes, as usual, and who doesn’t like primogems as event gifts? Apart from that, participants will receive a free copy of Xinyan as part of this promotion. Genshin Impact’s beloved rockstar appears to be gaining some attention, and those of you interested in getting her or her constellations should attend the event.
The leaks that were floating around the internet were on point as we are getting rerun banners for our favourite characters. The Fatui Harbinger Tartaglia and Wangsheng Funeral Parlor director Hu Tao will be the 5-star characters that are getting rerun banners in Genshin Impact 2.2 update as mentioned in the livestream. This is Childe’s third time being on an event banner. Along with this, the new playable character Thoma can be obtained by wishing on the Hu Tao banner.
Thoma will be a polearm user with Pyro vision, with a passionate and fiery nature. His kit was also shown off during the live stream, and it appears to be focused on his character’s shielding skills. He’s been dubbed the “Protector From Afar,” and he appears to be the kind of character that can both guard and support your party. Christian Banas (English VA) and Masakazu Morita (Japanese VA) are among the voice actors for Thoma (Japanese VA).
The update will also include some new weaponry in addition to the character banners. Polar Star, a 5-star weapon, will be added to the game alongside other new 4-star weapons! This bow looks to be made especially for Childe. Is it going to be his new best-in-class weapon? We’ll have to wait and see when the update comes out!
The monsters that would accompany this island were also shown in Genshin Impact’s 2.2 livestream. In the 2.2 update, players will face new enemies in the form of Whelps and Rifthounds. These monsters are extremely dangerous because they can use a technique known as “corrosion.” For a set amount of time, this will force all members of one’s party to incur damage. As if having Corrosion across an entire Spiral Abyss floor wasn’t bad enough. People, get your healers ready since that might be the only way of staying alive on Tsumuri Island.
This update appears to be chock-full of activities. Hangout Events, for example, will make a comeback. This time, players will have the opportunity to interact with Thoma and Sayu. These endearing characters have always appeared to be a lot of fun to hang out with, and now players will get the opportunity to do so. Who knows what kind of insane shenanigans you and these two will get up to.
Aside from that, there will be a few exciting enhancements to Genshin Impact. For the Serenitea Pot, a new Japanese-themed realm layout will be implemented. Now is the chance for those of you who have always desired to construct your own Japanese-style home in-game. A slew of new Inazuman furnishing plans will be featured as well, which players may purchase from Tubby or obtain through World Quests.
