We finally got some concrete details regarding the Genshin Impact 2.5 update and we can’t be more excited. Find out more!
The community is excited for updates after seeing the Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream, since the patch is slated to go live in about two weeks. On February 4, MiHoYo published their version 2.5 trailer. Numerous events, characters, five-star reruns, and, most importantly, new enemies are teased in the new official trailer.
With the current Lantern Rite event in full swing, the countless leaks and rumors circulating on the internet have only added to the players’ excitement. However, in a recent livestream, miHoYo made them official, allowing players to see a lot of interesting content. Here is everything revealed about the Genshin Impact 2.5 update in the livestream.
On February 16, 2022, the 2.5 Update will be released. The maintenance will begin at 6:00 a.m. local time on your server and will last until 11:00 a.m.
As part of Phase I of the Character Event Wish banner, Yae Miko will be featured in her debut banner. Travelers will be able to gain the 5-star Electro character through the first phase of the character banner, which has been long rumored to be coming to the game. The Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi, both 5-star characters, will get two banner re-runs in Phase II.
There is currently no indication on which 4-star characters will be available for the individual banners, but more information will be released soon. You’ll need Intertwined Fates, which you can get with Primogems, to wish for the characters. You can acquire Primogems by completing various quests, events, commissions, and other tasks.
The Ekonomiya zone was included as part of the previous update, and it appears to be where the next chapter of the Genshin Impact plot will take place. There will also be some new foes there, Shadow Husks, which are formidable humanoids who use elemental damage to make exploring the deep cavern even more dangerous. There are three different types of Shadowy Husk monsters:
In terms of the weaponry they wield and the elements they possess, each type of Shadowy Husk is unique. Each Shadowy Husk will have its own unique characteristics. When a Shadowy Husk attacks a character that is shielded, it creates a shield for itself and any other Shadowy Husk monsters nearby. To deal with these enemies, players will need to devise new team compositions or strategies.
A boss resembling Raiden Shogun will be introduced in Genshin Impact 2.5. The new boss has multiple arms and wields a gigantic katana. For the first time, gamers will have to face an archon as a weekly boss. Before facing the new boss, players must first complete the new Raiden Shogun story quest.
When players travel to Enkanomiya region, they will be challenged by the “Three Realms Gateway Offering” event in Genshin Impact 2.5. An unseen entity will haunt each location. While stepping foot within this location, characters in a party will continuously accumulate corrosive darkness, resulting in damage.
The characters will be helped even further in their fight against corruption by a device known as the Bokuso Box. Additionally, it will provide everyone with new powers. Players can earn Primogems and a 4-star Catalyst weapon called Oathsworn Eye during the event, which will last for the duration of the 2.5 release.
