Genshin Impact 2.5 Update is finally here and here is everything you should know including new characters, weapons, events, and more.
Genshin Impact Version 2.5’s release, there’s a lot to be aware of before jumping into the new version. You’ll want to know when you can start playing Version 2.5, aside from the contents of the update, which will contain new characters, weapons, events, and missions. We’ve got everything you need to know about playing Genshin Impact Version 2.5 thanks to an official confirmation from developer miHoYo.
In Version 2.5, the Inazuman arc of Genshin Impact’s main story is nearing its end. With only a few more releases before players’ attention shifts to Sumeru, HoYoverse has been saving the best for last. Yae Miko’s release, which had been rumored for months, is included in the February update. Raiden Shogun will return as a new weekly boss, and two reruns will also return.
Yae Miko, a five-star Electro Catalyst character, can now be played in Genshin Impact. Players have been eager to add her to their teams since she was first introduced as a character in the Inazuma update. In the “Everbloom Violet” wish, Yae Miko’s drop rate has been increased. Yae Miko is the game’s first five-star Electro Catalyst, so be sure to wish on her before her banner expires.
In this update, two new weapons have been added. The first is Kagura’s Verity, a five-star Catalyst with an increased drop rate in the “Epitome Invocation” wish right now. The second, Oathsworn Eye, is a four-star Catalyst that can be obtained by participating in the next “Three Realms Gateway Offering” event.
The “Three Realms Gateway Offering” event begins on February 17 and will be open to players until Version 2.5 is completed. The event is set in Enkanomiya and revolves around participants exploring the world and using a new item known as a Bokuso Box. All players with an Adventure Rank of 30 or higher will be allowed to participate in this event. The Archon Quest “Chapter II: Act II – Stillness, the Sublimation of Shadow” and the World Quest “Erebos’ Secret” must also be completed.
A few extra events are planned for later in this update, but no official release date or detailed information is available at this time. “Divine Ingenuity,” for example, will allow players to construct their own domains and participate in those of other players. Another future event, “Of Drink A-Dreaming,” focuses on bartending and seems to be connected to Diluc, the five-star Pyro Claymore character who runs Dawn Winery.
The puppet version of Raiden Shogun is now available as a weekly boss, much to everyone’s delight. Players must redeem Original Resin to obtain rewards for beating her, like with previous weekly bosses. Narukami Island now has smaller world bosses such as the Shadowy Husk Defender, Line Breaker, and Standard Bearer.
If you want to read the complete patch notes, they can be found on the official website. With many new exciting events and new characters, this looks to be a promising update. Genshin Impact is available on the App Store, Google Play Store, PC, and PS4. It will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch.
