Genshin Impact 2.7 delay – Compensation, Release date, and more

Published by

Here is everything you should know about Genshin Impact 2.7 delay including the compensation provided by hoyoverse.

Following the news that the Genshin Impact 2.7 update will be delayed due to project progress, HoYoverse has now revealed how Travelers will be compensated. We’ve all grown accustomed to miHoYo’s regular updates, with each Genshin Impact update lasting approximately six weeks and featuring new character banners, events, and quests. So the announcement of the delay by HoYoverse was certainly unexpected.

Starting May 11 and lasting weekly until version 2.7 is released, Genshin Impact players will be compensated for the delay. HoYoverse has yet to announce a new release date for Genshin Impact’s 2.7 update, thus the length of the delay is currently unclear. Players will continue to get weekly in-game compensation until the patch is available.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Delay Rewards

Even though we don’t have any new news, players can get some additional rewards to spend on the Ayaka banner. Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank five or above by May 11, 2022, will be able to claim the following rewards:

  • x400 Primogems
  • x1 Fragile Resin
  • x7 Hero’s Wit
  • x16 Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • x120,000 Mora

These rewards will be given out to players every Wednesday until the 2.7 update releases.

The next update to Genshin Impact, version 2.7, was supposed to release on May 11, but hoyoverse has stated that it will be delayed indefinitely. This is because of the Covid-19 restrictions in Shanghai, where the developer is based. We will update you as soon as we have some new information.

The new Genshin Impact banners haven’t been confirmed officially, but it’s almost certain that the 2.7 update will see the arrival of both Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.

Yelan is a five-star Hydro archer who was introduced in Teyvat with the 2.6 update. We don’t know anything about her other that she claims to work for the Liyue Ministry of Civil Affairs. Kuki Shinobu, on the other hand, is a four-star Electro sword user and the Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang in Inazuma, working alongside Arataki Itto.
