Genshin Impact Anniversary Rewards, Events and Backlash

Mihoyo has announced some decent rewards for the upcoming Genshin Impact Anniversary. Here is everything that you need to know about the upcoming events.

Genshin Impact was released globally on 28 September 2020. Since its launch, it has received a massive response from the fans and the community. Since Genshin Impact is a gacha game, the developers were bound to announce some great rewards especially after the year this game has had. But after the rewards were announced, fans were pretty disappointed. The rewards offered by Mihoyo for the Genshin Impact Anniversary are absolute garbage. Fans are flooding Twitter and other social media sites to address this issue. Let’s take a look at the rewards announced by Mihoyo for the Genshin Impact Anniversary.

An Unforgettable Journey Web Event

  • Event Duration – September 28 – October 12
  • Event Rewards – Primogems, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Hero’s Wit
  • How to Participate – Players can participate through the link posted on social media and in-game notification

During the event, players will be able to watch their own anniversary theater and relive their experiences of their journey. After watching, players will not only obtain a reward for viewing but can also exchange rewards with their friends, such as Primogems and Mora.

A Message in Time Web Event

  • Event Duration – September 29 – October 7
  • Event Rewards – Blessing of the Welkin Moon x1 (Chance to Win 10) or Mora x100,000 (chance to Win 90%)
  • How to Participate –  Players can access the event through the official social media accounts for Genshin Impact on Twitter and Facebook

During the event, the players can take part in a raffle by creating their own anniversary cards. After the event ends, Mihoyo will randomly select 10% of the participants to receive the Blessing of the Welkin Moon ×1. The remaining participants who are not selected will be rewarded with Mora ×100,000.

As you can see the Genshin Impact Anniversary Rewards are pretty subpar. The only guaranteed rewards are for the “An Unforgettable Journey Web Event.” All the other rewards are based on luck. This is why Mihoyo is facing a massive backlash from the community. But Mihoyo still hasn’t responded to the negative reaction from the community.
