Players who wish to pull for Ganyu in Genshin Impact can farm the list of items required for her ascension. Furthermore, they can also farm the items required to maximize her talents as well, so they can fully utilize this DPS unit after her return.
Ganyu is an older character in the game, having been available since version 1.2. Therefore, the items required for her ascension and talents are considered to be fairly easy to farm. Here are all the materials players will need to farm for Ganyu’s ascension and talents.
Ganyu Ascension Materials
Ganyu can be ascended up to her final level in Genshin Impact, the sixth level. To do so, players will need the following materials.
Gems
- 1x Shivada Jade Sliver
- 9x Shivada Jade Fragment
- 9x Shivada Jade Chunk
- 6x Shivada Jade Gemstone
The Shivada Jade is an essential ascension material for all Cryo characters including Ganyu in Genshin Impact. Players can find the gemstone from the following bosses:
- Bathysmal Vishap Herds
- Cryo Hypostasis
- Cryo Regisvine
- Maguu Kenki
- Perpetual Mechanical Array
- Primo Geovishap
However, they can also obtain the stone from the following weekly bosses. But since these bosses appear only once a week, it is not very convenient to farm the gemstone from them.

- Childe
- Signora
- Lupus Boreas
Enemy Drops
- 18x Whopperflower Nectar
- 30x Shimmering Nectar
- 36x Energy Nectar
Whopperflower, on the other hand, can be found anywhere in Teyvat. It is a common Genshin Impact mob that disguises itself as typical flora that jumps on players when they try to harvest the plant. The Whopperflower’s drops are as follows:
- Any level: Whopperflower Nectar
- Level 40 and higher: Shimmering Nectar
- Level 60 and higher: Energy Nectar
Boss Drops
- 46x Hoarfrost Core
Players can obtain the Hoarfrost Core from the Cryo Regisvine exclusively. They can find this boss in Mondstadt, south of the Thousand Winds Temple.
Specialty
- 168 Qingxin
Qingxin can be a bit of a struggle to farm for Genshin Impact players. This is because the flower can only be found at the peak of hills in Liyue. The flower thrives in Jueyun Karst and the mountain between Qingce Village and Wuwang Hill. Alternatively, players can grow Qingxin in the Serenitea Pot or simply buy it from Babak or Herbalist Gui.

Trounce Materials
- 6 Shadow of the Warrior
Players can obtain the Shadow of the Warrior trounce material from Childe’s weekly boss fight. In case players cannot get the item to drop, they can utilize the Dream Solvent to transmute the other two materials into the material that Ganyu requires.
