Find out how to beat the Hydro boss, Oceanid, using our Genshin Impact Guide. It will be very easy to beat with the right characters!
The Oceanid of Qingce is Rhodeia of Loch, also known as Voice of the Water. She is a Liyue region Normal Boss who cannot be directly attacked. Instead, she’ll use Hydro Mimics, which are water-based creatures, to target players. The Oceanid will automatically lose her health if the player defeats them.
When the player defeats her, they must use 40 Original Resin in order to claim her loot, which include Artifacts and Character Ascension Material for Hydro Characters released prior to Genshin Impact Version 2.1.
Rhodeia is a Lochfolk who moved from the Hydro nation of Fontaine after the previous Hydro Archon passed away. The Oceanids as a whole disagree with the present Hydro Archon, the God of Justice’s goals and ideas, and hence refuse to acknowledge or support her.
A life-form created from condensed Hydro elements of incredible purity.
Often attached to bodies of water. It is said that as water bodies becomes purer, the Hydro elements within grow more abundant, causing the Oceanids to grow more powerful.
It is also said by some that Oceanids were once sea creatures from a home far away who carried the fragments of a long-dead god to the many corners of this world. Perhaps they did this so that the love their god held for this world could be spread through the waters to all the land…
Oceanid is one of Genshin Impact’s most difficult bosses. This boss is located in a valley to the west of Mondstadt, in the middle of the furthest lake east to Qingce Village. Players must search the area for a bubbling place in the ground. The Oceanid will show up after you reach it
Here, Cryo and Electro are suggested. Both elements can work against you on the battlefield, which is one giant puddle. We recommend using High elemental DPS characters like Ganyu, Keqing, Yanfei, Klee and Fischl. Characters like Zhongli, Qiqi, and Diona, who are shielders and healers, can also help.
To damage the boss, players need to kill a variety of water animals summoned by her. Oceanid has the ability to create a total of eight different varieties of mimics. Except for Hydro, which they are entirely immune to, each species has reduced resistance to specific elements. They, like all other Hydro wildlife, can float on water.
The Hydro Mimic Finch attacks by leaping at you and inflicting AoE damage over a wide area. Freeze them or utilise shields while doing damage to keep them from attacking.
Because the Mallards are surrounded by a Hydro AoE, attacking them up close is not a good idea. To deliver damage from afar, utilise ranged attacks from a Bow or Catalyst user.
These boars will charge at you, knocking you down and possibly throwing you in the water. Dodge their attacks and look for a chance to use your own attacks and abilities to counter them.
These Ferrets have a wide range attacks that deals Hydro DMG with their tails. As they approach, keep your distance and close in with your own elemental attacks.
Hydro Mimic Cranes are slow-moving opponents who attack from a considerable distance. They flap their wings before each attack, signaling that you should dodge them. If you don’t kill them right away, their ranged attacks will cause a lot of damage.
Hydro Mimic Frogs have two attack types: a long-range attack similar to the Crane and a jumping AoE strike similar to the Finch. Attack them as soon as they spawn, as they’re difficult to deal with, especially when there are several other Hydro mimics around.
These flying creatures are difficult to defeat because you must constantly hit them with a Bow or Catalyst. They also have a diving attack that can knock you down, which you should avoid by dodging or shielding.
Crabs are fast-moving opponents with a high-damage bubble attack when they come too close. You can slow them down by freezing them with Cryo or shocking them with Electro.
Defeating the Oceanid will give you 200 Adventure XP, Mora, and a number of special character ascension items like the Cleansing Heart in exchange for 40 Original Resin. Players can obtain the following rewards:
This was our Guide on how to defeat the Oceanid in Genshin Impact. Players will need to plan their party with all the Hydromimc in mind. A ranged Bow or Catalyst users like Klee, Yanfei, Ganyu, and Fischl are recommended the deal damage from a distance.
