Who is Tomo in Genshin Impact?
Tomo is a very close friend of Kazuha and his name is shortly derived from Tomodachi. The meaning of this name is “friend” in Japanese. Kazuha’s friend was initially nameless and it was only later that players gave the character this name, and now it is a common name used in the fandom for the character.
In the trailer of Kazuha’s, we can see Tomo challenging the Vision Hunt Decree as wants to stand up for his ideologies. But he loses the fight and Raiden Shogun used her Musou No Hitotachi Sword Art to defeat Tomo and kill him. After Tomo was defeated and sacrificed his life fighting for his strong beliefs Kazuha arrives and summons his dying vision from him before Raiden could take it for herself.

Kazuha puts Tomo’s vision beside his own vision and it sparkles during his fight with Raiden in the Omnipresence Over Mortals quest. It is not however confirmed if Tomo has a sword.
In the cutscene, we can see that Tomo already has an Electro vision, but the moment he died, the vision started dimming. In the next scene, we can see that now see that Kazuha yields the vision and has it next to his own vision. It came to life when he was trying to protect the Traveler from Baal in Omnipresence Over Mortals quest. It’s not confirmed if Tomo has a sword.
Tomo grave Genshin’s location
Fans have closely observed the cutscene and have spotted that there is a grave built next to Kamisato’s Estate in Inazuma. You can identify it by a white cat, a mournful vision, and a Katana.
The grave is surrounded by elemental energy and you can see some glowing Electro Crystalflies around the grave. With all these elements being present around a grave fans have speculated it to be Tomo’s grave.

After watching the trailer fans cannot wait to finally play the game and witness all of these things for real. So if you too are wondering when is the launch of Tomo here is your answer. Sadly, it is very unlikely that Tomo will ever be playable because this character is categorized to be a dead NPC according to the storyline. However, tables could turn up the developers of Genshin Impact reveal there is a mysterious magic that could bring back his character in a world that has not been yet introduced But do not keep high expectations from it as the chances are very less that Tomo is added to the team
