In Genshin Impact, Yanfei is a playable Pyro character. Her father is an adeptus, and her mother is a human. Her parents left her in Madame Ping’s care after she grew up and went on an adventure. She lives in Liyue and works as a lawyer for the locals. She is currently available on the Tartaglia Banner. Yanfei relies on normal attacks to generate scarlet seals, which she then maximises with elemental abilities. As a result, you should concentrate on improving these attacks and increasing AoE damage. Her elemental burst also grants brilliance, which gives her a scarlet seal at regular intervals and boosts the damage of her charged attacks.

Yanfei Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

• High DMG output, especially with Charged Attacks.
• Normal Attacks are long-ranged and lock on targets.
• Skill and Burst have quick CDs and are easy to use.
• Can easily trigger Elemental Reactions with Pyro element.

Weaknesses

• Use of Charged Attacks will need proper stamina management.
• Elemental Skill and Burst are short-ranged.

Genshin Impact Yanfei Abilities

Seal of Approval (Normal Attack)

• Normal Attack – Shoots fireballs that deal up to three counts of Pyro DMG. When Yanfei’s Normal Attacks hit enemies, they will grant her a single Scarlet Seal. Yanfei may possess a maximum of 3 Scarlet Seals, and each time this effect is triggered, the duration of the currently possessed Scarlet Seals will refresh. Each Scarlet Seal decreases Yanfei’s Stamina consumption and will disappear when she leaves the field.
• Charged Attack – Consumes Stamina and all Scarlet Seals before dealing AoE Pyro DMG to opponents after a short casting time. This Charged Attack’s AoE and DMG will increase according to the number of Scarlet Seals that it consumes.
• Plunge Attack – Gathering the power of Pyro, Yanfei plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Pyro DMG upon impact with the ground.

Signed Edict (Elemental Skill)

Summons blistering flames that deal AoE Pyro DMG. Opponents hit by the flames will grant Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals.

Done Deal (Elemental Burst)

Triggers a spray of intense flames that rush at nearby opponents, dealing AoE Pyro DMG, granting Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals, and applying Brilliance to her.

• Brilliance – Grants Yanfei a Scarlet Seal at fixed intervals. Increases the DMG dealt by her Charged Attacks. The effects of Brilliance will end if Yanfei leaves the field or falls in battle.

1. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds

Base Attack – 46

Bonus Effect – CRIT Rate 7.2%

Skill Effect – Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

2. Skyward Atlas

Base Attack – 48

Bonus Effect – ATK 7.2% 

Skill Effect – Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12%. Normal attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favor of the clouds, which actively seeks out nearby enemies to attack for 15s. Dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s.

3. The Widsith

Base Attack – 42

Bonus Effect – CRIT DMG 12% 

Skill Effect – When a character takes the field, they will gain a random theme song for 10s. This can only occur once every 30s. Recitative: ATK is increased by 60%. Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48%. Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240.

Yanfei Best Artifacts

1. Crimson Witch of Flames

• Pyro DMG Bonus +15%.
• Increases Overloaded and Burning DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using an Elemental Skill increases 2-Piece Set effects by 50% for 10s. Max 3 stacks.

2. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence

• ATK +18%.
• When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charge/Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10s. This effect will not trigger again during that duration.

3. Wanderer’s Troupe

• Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
• Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow.

Yanfei Passive abilities

Encyclopedic Expertise (Unlocked Automatically)

Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Liyue on the mini-map.

Proviso (Unlocked at Ascension 1)

When Yanfei consumes Scarlet Seals by using a Charged Attack, each Scarlet Seal will increase Yanfei’s Pyro DMG Bonus by 5%. This effect lasts for 6s. When a Charged Attack is used again during the effect’s duration, it will dispel the previous effect.

Blazing Eye (Unlocked at Ascension 4)

When Yanfei’s Charged Attack deals a CRIT Hit to opponents, she will deal an additional instance of AoE Pyro DMG equal to 80% of her ATK. This DMG counts as Charged Attack DMG.

Genshin Impact Yanfei Constellations

1. The Law Knows No Kindness (Constellation 1)

When Yanfei uses her Charged Attack, each existing Scarlet Seal additionally reduces stamina cost of this Charged Attack by 10% and increases resistance against interruption during its release.

2. Right of Final Interpretation (Constellation 2)

Increases Yanfei’s Charged Attack CRIT Raite by 20% against enemies below 50% HP.

3. Samadhi Fire-Forged (Constellation 3)

Increases the Level of Signed Edict by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

4. Supreme Amnesty (Constellation 4)

When Done Deal is used – Creates a shield that absorbs up to 45% of Yanfei’s Max HP for 15s.

This shield absorbs Pyro DMG 250% more effectively.

5. Abiding Affidavit (Constellation 5)

Increases the Level of Done Deal by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

6. Extra Clause (Constellation 6)

Increases the maximum number of Scarlet Seals by 1.

Yanfei is a superb Pyro DPS character in the game. She works wonderfully with Xingqiu and Bennet. Xingqiu applies hydro damage continuously and can trigger vapourize reaction to increase damage. Bennet gives a damage buff with his Elemental Resonance and can work perfectly as a healer for your team.
