Starz released an explosive trailer Thursday for Season Two of its Power spinoff show Force, set to premiere September 1. This new chapter follows Tommy Egan as he leaves New York behind and embarks on his quest to control Chicago’s drug world – as alliances form and rivalries escalate, Tommy must decide what sacrifices must be made to become its ultimate kingpin.
Most of the original Power cast will return for season two of Force, including Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan, Isaac Keys as Diamond Sampson, Lili Simmons reprising her role as Claudia Flynn and Shane Harper playing Vic Flynn and Kris D. Lofton portraying Jenard Sampson. Gabrielle Ryan will star as Gloria who will not make an appearance this time around.
Carmela Zumbado and Chris Tardio join Adrienne Walker and Manuel Eduardo Ramirez as new characters on Power Book IV: Force Season 2, while Barton Fitzpatrick takes on Blaxton while Karen Rodriguez portrays Lela. Power creator Courtney A. Kemp also oversees production through Lionsgate Television while Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson acts as executive producer through G-Unit Film and Television production company.
Joseph Sikora returns as Tommy Egan from the original series for season 2, where fans have come to love his character. Season 2 sees Tommy moving to Chicago and taking control of the drug world there; other cast members include Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons Gabrielle Ryan and Shane Harper.
Although his intentions were good, things don’t turn out exactly according to plan in Chicago, leaving Tommy fighting against an array of enemies and rivalries. As he works to maintain his position while stirring up rivalries and fighting for what is his, after Claudia’s murder by Liliana and with an increasingly weak Flynn organization behind him, Tommy becomes more determined than ever before to take over Chicago and its people.
While he battles for his life, he still manages to form relationships and build up his empire. Additionally, he maintains good standing with law enforcement agencies such as CBI.
The premiere episode of Season Two is now airing, and it certainly warrants watching! The cast looks incredible, while the storyline seems captivating – with some major twists and turns seemingly ahead. Fans in the US can watch on Starz while those streaming through Fubo TV or Hulu can catch the episodes live via Live TV streaming services such as Fubo TV and Hulu can also do so. There is currently no word as to whether Season Three will be renewed; stay tuned for further updates.
Starting September 1st, Starz will air the second season of Power Book IV: Force. The series continues the adventures of fan-favorite Tommy Egan as he attempts to conquer Chicago after leaving New York behind. Joseph Sikora reprises his role as show lead while Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons and Shane Harper all play pivotal supporting characters.
The season 2 trailer provides an eye-popping glimpse into Tommy’s quest for power in Chicago as well as giving us an introduction to some of the characters who will appear in future episodes.
One of the most gripping scenes from Season One was Claudia’s death during a gunfight with Liliana, Tommy’s top lieutenant (Audrey Esperanza). Expect this eventful plotline to continue into Season 2, so expect plenty of drama and revenge at play in season 2.
Alongside returning cast members, this new season will introduce several fresh faces as well. Lucien Cambric (Captive State) as Darnell McDowell; Miriam A. Hyman (The Chi) as Stacy Marks; Adrienne Walker (FBI) as Shanti “Showstopper” Page; Carmela Zumbado (YOU season 2) as Mireya Garcia and Barton Fitzpatrick (The Chi) as Blaxton will all join Gary Lennon who also writes for his show! Executive producer Gary Lennon is writing for his series; he is also acting as its executive producer/writer as well as executive producer/writer for both seasons!
After Power Season 1, Tommy Egan moved from New York to Chicago where his new life would begin. Unfortunately, this series wasn’t as successful as its predecessor due to clumsy storylines and an unfamiliar Windy City; gun violence wasn’t addressed either; to address these concerns the team behind this spin-off recruited a new showrunner while also recruiting Gary Lennon of Euphoria Productions as its producer.
Joseph Sikora stars as Tommy. Isaac Keys (Get Shorty, Ozark) as Diamond Sampson and Lili Simmons (Hightown, Banshee) as Claudia Flynn complete the cast, along with Shane Harper (A Teacher) playing Vic Flynn; Kris D Lofton from Ballers playing Jenard; Anthony Fleming III from Prison Break and Tommy Flanagan from Sons of Anarchy as JP and Walter Flynn respectively.
This season will revolve around Tommy’s quest to take over Chicago and avenge Liliana’s death, with various factions fighting over control in the streets, Federal forces closing in, and Tommy having to decide where his loyalties lie. As promised in the trailer, this season promises plenty of action, vengeance, and ambition; its season premiere on Friday September 1 on Starz app and streaming platforms (STARZ streaming and on demand platforms); LIONSGATE+ premium streaming in Brazil Latin America Ireland is also available.
