Abe Lincoln

Twenty years have passed since the groundbreaking clone high school experiment was discontinued, yet this hilarious adult-oriented animated series has returned for another installment. Created by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs), it stars clones of historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc Gandhi and JFK.

Will Forte returns as Abe, while Scrubs star Nicole Sullivan assumes her original role of Joan. Newcomers to the series include Ayo Edebiri as Harriet, Mitra Jouhari as Cleo, Vicci Martinez as Frida and Danny Pudi as Mr. Butlertron while Sam Richardson takes over Wesley while Jana Schmieding plays Sacagawea – in all, the original executive producers Lord and Miller are overseeing its revival along with Bill Lawrence, Erica Rivinoja as well as ShadowMachine’s Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley.

Clone High’s reboot finds the clones struggling to adapt to modern culture and teen relationships, including overly dramatic sex scenes and an ever-evolving understanding of “into your feelings.” According to its creators, Clone High is meant to reflect how generations later, it’s now their turn as targets of its satirical humor.

Joan of Arc

Clone High’s second season follows a group of historical figure clones at a school that doubles as a military experiment. Created by The Secret Board of Shadowy Figures in the 1980s with hopes to use their unique skills for military use, but high school administrator Cinnamon J. Scudworth had his own plans and secretly opposed the Board’s wishes – the original voice cast has returned, including Scrubs star Nicole Sullivan reprises her role as Joan of Arc while Will Forte from The Last Man on Earth plays Abe Lincoln.

After 20 years in suspension, teen clones emerge to adapt to modern culture such as cancel culture while also managing complex romances between their ranks. Joan proves one of the most beloved characters, making new connections with Frida Kahlo and Harriet Tubman while reconciling with Cleopatra whom she once held an intense animosity toward; yet her insecurity causes her to cheat on tests leading to her eventual downfall.

Christopher Miller and Phil Lord will return as executive producers for season 2 of this animated comedy about a school for clones of iconic historical figures. It introduces new characters such as Ayo Edebiri (Harriet), Mitra Jouhari (Cleo), Vicci Martinez (Frida), Neil Casey (Topher Bus) and Jana Schmieding (Sacagawea).

Cleopatra

Cleopatra (voiced by Christa Miller in season 1 and Mitra Jouhari in season 2) is a self-absorbed, vain, popular, mean-spirited and often-horny cheerleader clone of ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. She vies with Abe Lincoln for Abe’s affection while simultaneously harboring feelings towards JFK; Cleo’s sassy yet flippant personality has made her popular with The FlipFlops cheerleading squad.

She enjoys skating and art. This character stands apart from Debra Wilson’s Harriet Tubman clone from season 1, who remains as an underlining character. Other clones in season two include Kelvin Yu as Confucius, Neil Casey as Topher Bus and Jana Schmieding as Sacagawea.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller executive produced, while Bill Lawrence and Erica Rivinoja from Scrubs are also writing the revival episodes.

Clone High takes place at an American high school where a secret government organization, the Secret Board of Shadowy Figures, is conducting an experimental military program with human clones created through genetic manipulation. Meanwhile, Cinnamon Scudworth subverts this plan and uses these clones for his own ends; their replicas include Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Gandhi and John F Kennedy among many other historical figures.

JFK

Clone High, an offbeat animated series set in an American high school where all the students resemble world leaders and historical figures, has generated both controversy and praise due to its unflattering depictions of revered world icons; nonetheless, it has earned itself a loyal fan base; HBO Max recently announced they have ordered two seasons of the series!

The four original main protagonists in the show are Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Cleopatra and JFK. Abe is a shy yet awkward clone of Abraham Lincoln who struggles to live up to his “clonefather”. Joan loves him but cannot make him jealous due to their mutual attraction while Cleo is an arrogant womanizer and parody of celebrities while simultaneously being attracted to Gandhi despite her many flaws.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller, best known for their work on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Lego Movie, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are behind this series’ revamp. Nicole Sullivan, Will Forte, Neil Casey as Topher Bus, Ayo Edebiri as Harriet Tubman and Christa Miller reprise their voices for Candide Sampson while Tommy Walter, who provided music during previous series’ theme songs as well as authorized needle drops on the soundtrack albums, also returns for this reboot with music by providing needle drops on soundtrack albums as well. Tommy Walter provides music as part of his duties here.
