Ghost Recon Frontline is Ubisoft’s first foray into the free-to-play battle royale genre. Here is everything you need to know about the new shooter game.
After Ghost Recon Breakpoint failed to re-ignite the franchise in the ways that Ubisoft had hoped, it’s time for a fresh strategic and tactical plan to make the game free-to-play. It’s called Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, and it’ll be released in certain territories next week. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, which was announced at the Ghost Recon 20th Anniversary Showcase, is a new free-to-play, enormous PvP shooter that is firmly rooted in the iconic Ghost Recon universe.
Ghost Recon Frontline Gameplay
There will be numerous game types in Ghost Recon Frontline, but Ubisoft is showcasing one called Expedition, which will include 100+ people competing in three-person teams. On a vast open-world area located on an island named Drakemoor, which is home to a variety of biomes, players will need to work together to achieve dynamic objectives.
Once players have completed their information collection, they must proceed to a drop zone and request an extraction. When the extraction is started, all teams will be aware of its location and will attempt to intervene, with those who have played their tactics correctly having the highest chance of escaping. At launch, there will be additional modes accessible.
Ghost Recon Frontline Contractor
The class structure in Ghost Recon Frontline is unique and advanced, allowing players to customise and enhance each contractor to meet their plan. Ubisoft teased three different contractor kinds that will be available when the game launches.
- Assault – provides excellent sustainability in close-quarters combat
- Support – provides exceptional protection with fortification abilities.
- Scout – can effortlessly survey the area for the squad, exposing and pestering foes from afar without fear of punishment.
Release Date
Ubisoft has not announced a release date for Ghost Recon Recon Frontline. But players will be able to test out the game for Windows PC from 14 October.
Platforms
Ghost Recon Frontline will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. As a result, cross-play will almost certainly be present, making the game even more competitive and enjoyable.
The new Ghost Recon is part of Ubisoft’s bigger push toward free-to-play titles. It will be exciting to go back into the Tom Clancyverse in a battle royale mode.
