Bitadze played professionally for VITA Tbilisi in the VTB United League during the 2015-16 season. He made his debut at 16 and thus became the league’s youngest player.
On December 2, 2015, Bitadze signed a contract with Mega Basket of the Basketball League of Serbia (KLS) and the ABA League. Bitadze was drawn to the club because it had produced many NBA players, including Nikola Joki and Ivica Zubac, and he considered the Serbian league to be “well run.”
Bitadze was loaned to Montenegrin club Budunost on December 20, 2018, when they were competing in the top-tier continental EuroLeague. He stayed with the team for the rest of the season.
On April 20, he declared for the 2019 NBA draught, where he was expected to be a lottery pick.
